Rugged displays / keyboards have been critical to today’s warfighter, especially on the frontlines of the battlefield. TAG has developed an abundance of custom designed communications systems that meet reconnaissance, security, and deployable requirements for in-theatre environments. TAG’s rugged displays / keyboards are an integral part of the U.S. military’s global forces, and C4ISR initiatives worldwide. Based on COTS components, each rugged display / keyboard solution is designed to meet program-specific requirements. TAG had deployed state-of-the-art rugged computer systems that allows tactical commanders to effectively disseminate orders, clearly convey their intent, and collaboratively plan courses of action with key staff in real-time.

TAG's LK-3200 rugged 24" widescreen dual-display solution includes 1080p HD rugged displays that provide stunning clarity for multi-media applications with a 20000:1 (ASCR) contrast ratio, HDMI input, and with built-in hidden stereo speakers that include SPDIF audio output. In this rugged dual-display, low reflection / color filters are added to enhance color performance, and high brightness backlights are incorporated to provide a clearer picture. The dual-display solution was integrated with a remote graphics unit that supports the two monitors via DVI/VGA for a resolution of up-to 1920 x 1200 per display. TAG's rugged panel-mounted dual-display includes 6x USB ports, 2x Firewire ports, 3x audio ports (inbound/outbound), and a fiber-optic port that supports peripherals up-to 820ft away from the dual-display units.

TAG's LK-3200-19S rugged 3U rack-mount 19" dual-display integrated with a mechanical keyboard / trackball was custom designed to support ground control stations for unmanned systems, and deployed as an Airframe Mounted Application Gateway (AMAG) aboard military planes conducting reconnaissance missions. This rugged 3U rack-mount 19” dual-display included front accessible control buttons, and was designed to meet MIL-STD-810D requirements for high operating temperatures, humid environments, heavy shock and vibration, and other environmental elements such as fungus, salt, and sand particles.

TAG's LK-1000-19S rugged 1U rack-mount 19" dual-display integrated with a mechanical keyboard / touchpad was developed to support a number of deployable applications from transit case fielded systems, to shipboard rack-mounted workstation consoles. The 1U Small Form Factor (SSF) means the unit didn’t take up much space inside of racks, and the high resolution display allowed for operators to clearly see what they were working on while being confined to tight spaces. Multiple interfaces (USB or PS/2) came available based on customer requirements, and optional backlit keyboards were available in different colors depending on the mission (Green/Red/Amber).

TAG's LK-1000-15S rugged 1U rack-mount 15" display provides a shorter depth for compact situations where space is limited, and is an ideal companion with our LK-1000-T rugged 1U rack-mount keyboard drawer that decreases the space (depth) needed by the operator in tight work areas such as airframes, and shipboard command centers. The 15” display has also been integrated with touchscreen technology for even more functional capabilities permitted to the operator. TAG built this unit with different displays options available that support low power configurations, or high-bright displays with sunlight readable capabilities.

TAG's LK-1000-15S is a rugged 19” display with optimal touchscreen capabilities, and can be custom mounted to support a number applications using its VESA mount, or swing arm mounting options. With weather protected connectors, and a display with anti-glare coating, this rugged display has been deployed as a robust terminal for security applications that have exposure to extreme weather conditions. TAG offers both resistive, and projective capacitive touchscreen options that support different interface requirements. This rugged display also includes on-board audio that is designed to work with a number of audio controllers as an independent amplifier.

One of TAG's more popular keyboard solutions, the LK-1000-T includes an integrated mechanical keyboard that comes with a number of backlit color options. Multiple keyboard types are available including a water-resistant version. The rugged 1U rack-mount keyboard features a trackball, but that too can be customized to include a touchpad, or integrated with a joystick for unmanned applications. For comfort, the rugged keyboard tray includes an ergonomic wrist pad to help ease the stress for the operators during long missions, and the unit can be customized for ultra-short depth keyboard configurations to fit in some of the tightest spaces.
