TAG's rugged tablets have used advanced transflective display technology that offers both low power display modes to help extend application runtimes, and also included an optimized light guide and LED bar for enhanced high bright capabilities. Whether the mission requires direct sunlight readability, or night vision goggle operation (NVG compatible), our tactical display options can be customized to fit any situation. Our rugged tablets are also available with the multiple touchscreen technologies, and screen treatments to protect against scratches and impacts.

Our engineers integrate the latest technology including the cutting-edge Intel® Atom™ processor, removable Solid-State Drive (SSD), hot-swappable batteries, and military-grade communication ports. The core of our latest innovation, the TC-301 Precision GPS Surveying Controller, includes a military-grade GPS receiver, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) signal processing technology, and a miniature military-grade wireless radio that’s housed inside an ultra-mobile rugged tablet form factor.

Real-Time Communications

TAG is an experienced integrator of real-time communication technology that requires reliable exchanges of information to support data heavy applications such as video surveillance and battlefield situational awareness. TAG designs deployable communication systems that need to meet stringent voice, data, and video requirements of both defense and civilian networks. Optional WiFi™, Bluetooth®, and plug-in cellular cards for mobile communications are also available to extend productivity in the field.

Our ergonomic handheld tablets are custom designed for deployable operations where lightweight and small footprint form factors help increase mobility. Units can be quickly attached or removed from vehicles, pole mounts, and other unique mounting situations with minimal interruption between deployment stations. Because the products can be fully customizable our customers have the flexibility to field a cost effective solution that meets their exact mission requirements and is optimized for Size, Weight & Power (SWaP).

Our system engineers and program managers work closely with our customers from the very beginning to conceptualize and refine the technical requirements of the overall system architecture to withstand rugged environments. Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), thermal simulation, and Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) allows us to uncover design requirements and engineer machines that will withstand the rigors of deployment where shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, sand, dust, rain, and other environmental factors can be hazardous to electronics.
