Contract Manufacturing

All of TAG’s systems, from individual products to total integrated solutions, follow a manufacturing process that incorporates both Cellular and Flow Production techniques, both of which are key features for the lean manufacturing floor. The cellular production process utilizes groups of workstations, or “cells”, that are assigned distinct tasks in the product development cycle that can be progressively moved from one workstation to another without any delays.

On the TAG manufacturing floor these cells are dedicated to processes, sub-components, or entire products; each is conducive to one-touch manufacturing methods. Utilizing flow production, units are worked upon in stages, and then moved immediately to the next stage. Achieving this efficient production flow requires thorough pre-production planning to ensure that raw materials are purchased, and delivered,

This entire process allows TAG to manufacture, produce, and fulfill orders for multiple customers. Some of TAG’s key contract manufacturing customers include: U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE), Boeing, Lockheed Martin, CSC, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, SAIC, and Raytheon.

TAG Manufacturing Floor Overview

Manufacturing Facility

TAG's advanced engineering manufacturing facility helps maximize output of rugged computer systems, and enable the company to meet aggressive production schedules for future customer programs. The 35,000+ sq. ft. facility is located on TAG's 8-acre private campus in what is known as the Dulles Technology Corridor, and only minutes away from Dulles International Airport.

Vital to next-generation manufacturing is understanding the roles of innovation, knowledge, and people in ensuring the competitive readiness of a company. Manufacturing personnel are involved early in the design prototype process, leading to advanced product knowledge enabling them to quickly transition the product into mainstream production.
