TAG is able to integrate systems into a variety of platforms. For shipboard applications TAG has experience developing bulkhead and console mounted systems that are located in tight spaces. Airborne applications include the development of Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) and Airframe Mounted Application Gateways (AMAG). On land based systems the ability to integrate rugged systems into a wide range of motorized transport vehicles, where Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) are a major concern, has led to the development of rugged smart displays, Small Form Factor (SFF) computers, and rugged tablets.

With much of today’s rugged computer systems being used in remote locations around the world, and many times required to be mobile, the need for rugged enclosures is essential across multiple industries. This includes the Department of Defense and civilian government agencies.

TAG has years of experience integrating our rugged computer systems into transit cases for standard/non-standard component racks, environmental conditions, component patching, “discreet wiring”, multiple displays, input devices, weight balance distribution, system capacity optimization, thermal controls, and power budget management.

TAG provides standard 19” rack integration and custom rack solutions. Extensive analysis of power consumption requirements and rack “real estate” for integrated suites is preformed to ensure optimal performance. TAG specializes in manufacturing and integrating customer-specific communication ports for rugged computer systems such as ground control stations. In addition, TAG provides virtual server integration, installation, and configuration services.

Testing is carried out in accordance with required specifications. When possible, testing will be conducted in our Advanced Engineering Concepts Center (AECC) using TAG’s state of the art test equipment. In order to identify and remove any hot spots, thermal analysis is carried out on all TAG products allowing the tested product to reach the required specifications.
