TAG’s success lies in our ability to focus our corporate Mission Statement and leverage the tenets of our business model to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and mutual business relationships prosper.

TAG’s Mission is to resolve our customers’ IT challenges with World-Class:

  • Engineering;
  • Manufacturing and Integration; and
  • Lifecycle Management

TAG uses this foundation to ensure risk is mitigated, expectations are exceeded, and our customers can consistently rely on the strengths of our company, our equipment, and our services time and again.

TAG was founded in 1984 by John McEwan, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy who holds a Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. After serving our country as a U.S. naval officer, which included an assignment with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, John formed TAG. John McEwan adopted the TAG® ball, a schematic representation of forward thinking and innovation, as the symbol for TAG®. It acts as a constant reminder that even the smallest of ideas can have a huge impact. Since our humble beginnings as IT innovators, TAG has been at the forefront of developing IT solutions for specific military requirements. TAG workstations were first put into service for the Naval Research Laboratory as well as the US Navy, who continues to be our largest customer.

TAG’s executive management team is headed by James S. McEwan, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TAG, Inc.
